About Me

For the better part of the last decade, I have dedicated my time and energy to moving my body on foot through the natural world. I have traveled well over 25,000 miles on foot at this point, which is more miles than the earth is around! I have seen some of the most beautiful places in the world and I feel I have only scratched the surface. There are many, many more places I would like to visit and hike through!

Very early on in my backpacking career, I discovered that the simplicity of living out of a backpack while out in nature spoke to my heart and my spirit more than anything I have ever done in this world to date. A big part of that enjoyment for me is meeting other people while out on these adventures. Discovering other people from different walks of life, with different backgrounds, different ethnicities, people who are just DIFFERENT from me, when you get people with such vast differences out experiencing the natural world together, magic tends to happen. You begin to discover that while you have so many differences, you also have so many things in common. And it's also just a joy to see and hear different perspectives on life, especially while adventuring and having a shared experience.
